| The Navimag ferry prior to us boarding it at Puerto Montt. Approximately 220 passengers boarded it on this day. Most were headed for the eventual destination of Puerto Natales after 3 nights on board. The boat also made a brief stop at Puerto Eden -a small hamlet located in Welllington Island in Ultima Esperanza (Last Hope) province, Magallanes region. It is one of Chile's most isolated inhabited places together with Easter Island and Villa Las Estrellas with a population of only 175 people. The ferry just stops and a handful of people are helped onto dinghies for transportation to shore and a handful get on |
